Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress, best recognized for her roles in films in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She graduated with an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer, who has been involved in the world of film and television. She began her acting career as a theater actress and then appeared in numerous television series and independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also won a lot of awards. Her career began acting in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel in The Tempest. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway production of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is renowned for her roles in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
