Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is a famous American performer, actress and model. She was a model for a while before becoming an actress. Her most well-known role was co-starring in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the singer in the girl group Apollonia 6. The group was just one of the female artists that benefited of Prince's involvement in the 1980s. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as a model and actress. in the latter half of the 1970s, she was a guest on CHiPS. In 1984, the actress was chosen to play the lead woman in the movie Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she also changed her name.) She then replaced Vanity of the female group Vanity 6 who starred in the movie with Apollonia 6 under their name. Her performance had more impression on the charts when she was Prince's partner on Take Me with You, which was a duet in his soundtrack. The relationship between Kotero and Prince was ended after the two were at odds over her future career path. Apollonia 6, the group she was part of had a split. Kotero was in a few minor films during the time however, she was not able to appear in the Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. In 1985-1986 she was offered a role on the drama series for evenings Falcon Crest. Apollonia released her first album in 1988, but it was not a great mix of dance and R&B music which did not attract the attention of the general audience. The album quickly disappeared from view. Apollonia was active, even if not under the spotlight, as an actress during the decade, albeit with minor roles in television and films. An exercise DVD came out. Apollonia's album Stay With Me was released in 1997. She returned to the school, received a diploma in filmmaking. She then formed her company and worked in children's TV. Apollonia has many hats. She was a model, singer as well as a talent management manager. In her capacity as an actress, she's well-known for her part in the movie Purple Rain. In addition, she has been featured in a variety of other films and television shows, including Black Magic Woman and The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model.
