Leona LaurenLeona Louise (born 3 April , 1986) is a British actor, singer active, activist, and actress. She was born and raised in London Borough of Islington and was a student at Croydon's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis was recognized as a national talent by winning the third series of The X Factor in 2006, winning a PS1 million recording contract in partnership with Syco Music. The winning single in the contest, which was a cover Kelly Clarkson's song "A Moment Like This" that was released, received 50,000 downloads within 30 minutes, and hit the top position for 4 weeks. Clive Davis, Lewis's American record label J Records signed Lewis a 5-album deal in February 2007. Lewis continued her success by releasing Spirit which was her debut studio album. The album was platinum 10x certified in the UK. This album became one of the top four albums sold in 2000s, and also one of the best-selling UK albums. In the year 2011, Lewis released the single "Collide" in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii along with her first extended show, Hurt: The EP. Her album Glassheart, her third studio effort, Glassheart (2012), marked a new creative direction for Lewis, drawing on dubstep and electronic music. During her Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began recording songs to her Christmas debut album. The album Christmas, With Love came out in the latter half of 2013. Its single lead, One More Sleep, peaked at number 3 across the UK. Lewis is a British female solo artist was the first British solo artist to break the Top Five with eight songs. It was more than Olivia Newton John's record which was seven.
