Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best known for her performance in the films 'Beta', Saajan' and 'Humaapke Hain Koun'. ..!' The actress began her career in the 1980s and came to popularity with her performance in the film 'Tezaab' in which she was a part of the cast with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the movie 'Dil' she starred alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into a Mumbai middle-class family and began dancing as a child. She tried her hand at acting when she was young however, it wasn't an easy task. Most of her first films failed. The actress eventually made it to the top and became one of the most renowned actresses in Indian film. After her marriage was over, she took a break but returned to the entertainment business. In the past, she had featured in the movie "Gulaab Gang" which focused on the struggle and triumphs of women from India. Dixit has been nominated to win 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. She also received the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian honor. She is also well-known for her charitable work.
